Healing the Heart from Pain and Anger
Healing the heart is a goal that some encounter in this life, and for others, some never realize the concept.
Being human means enduring a life filled with emotional experiences. Even though one may desire a happy, joyful life 24/7, unfortunately that isn’t the case for 100% of us. The suffering of humanity is an on-going story. A life lesson. An experiential learning school.
On days when one doesn’t feel their best, many decide to take the easy way out. People resort to food, drugs, alcohol, sex, violence and other temporary releases to mask their pain. This can go on for many years for some until a breaking point occurs, and for others, sometimes the cycle never ends.
Holistically, your body contains various energetic levels that are connected and dynamically affect each other. What happens in your life emotionally and mentally can result in physical illnesses if not addressed, healed and released. When one encounters ailments and sicknesses in certain areas of the body, this usually corresponds to a specific chakra area that is related to an emotional or mental issue.
I think you can agree with me that nobody likes to get sick. I certainly get annoyed when I do. So what can you do to avoid it, other than the typical “boost your immune system” with vitamin C and a good diet?
Heal your heart on all levels.
Release the pain, anger and frustration built up over the years and let things go.
Easier said than done right? Not entirely. There are many natural methods to de-stress therapeutically via counseling, therapy, massage, acupuncture, yoga practice, exercise, diet and more.
From a crystal healing perspective, crystal energy can provide natural healing to release the built up negative emotions stored in your heart chakra. As a crystal healer, I like to turn to combined vibrational healing methods using crystals, essential oils, flower essences and sound healing. Each of these modalities have high frequencies that can alter your dominant oscillary rate into a state of balance.
Heart healing starts will self-love.
Sometimes circumstances are beyond your control and nobody’s perfect. So it’s important to build a shield of self-love to help you through a lifetime battle of unconscious behavior from your ego and from others.
Here’s a holistic recipe to help build your self-love shield towards heart healing:
When you’re in a state of rage or anger, it’s hard to think clearly. The mind is a control freak and sometimes you need to press “mute” in order to stop stressing. Practice some of these tried and true things to get yourself into a present state of being:
- Reflection and Time Out – Journal, take a walk, hit the hot tub, take a nap. Do something non-destructive that makes you feel better.
- Meditation – Quiet the mind via meditation or listen to a guided meditation to bring your body into a calm Theta brainwave state.
- Visualization – Envision a white, gold, pink (whatever color suits you) light that spirals around your being and hugs you with warmth, happiness and love. Imagine this light dissolving away all your pain, hurt and frustration from your heart and mind.
Once you can free the mind from anger and frustration, bust out these helpful tools to clear out imbalances and pain in your heart chakra and emotional field:
- Heart Chakra Crystals – Place crystals like rose quartz, rhodonite, rhodochrosite or malachite on the heart chakra to release pain and bring in self-love.
- Essential Oils – Dab diluted essential oils under your nose and on your heart chakra. Or place the oils in a diffuser. Some good ones include: rose essential oil and bergamot essential oil.
- Flower Essences – Take a few drops of Rescue Remedy or vervain to bring you to a calm state of mind.
- Sound Healing – Listen to your favorite meditation track, heart chakra crystal bowl track or binaural beats to get the sound waves to penetrate your aura for healing. Search for something you like on YouTube. I won’t recommend anything specific since I feel every person’s frequency is different and you should sample a track first to see if it resonates with you.
Mix the tools above in any combination you want to give you a self-healing heart session. Repeat as needed and journal your thoughts while using these tools in meditation.
Lastly, analyze your situation and accept what you can’t change. Then write out a goal plan of what you can change. Instead of wallowing in pain, change your frame of mind to fight back and replace it with good feelings. Change your mindset to a positive one and things will change for you. Intentional power is a strong force and can change your life if you allow it.
The important part of life is learning from your experiences and mistakes, then building a shield to move forward that includes an open mind and a stronger heart. A self-love shield isn’t one that is filled with arrogance and pride, but instead one that helps remind you that you are an emotional human being who is worthy of happiness, someone who is (already) filled with love and can fill in any gaps of pain and sadness, with this love, when the time arises.
So let me know… what are you going to do the next time a dip in life’s roller coaster comes along? Are you going to ride it out knowing that the ride continues in different waves and that this is a part of life? Carry your love shield with you and know you can fight life’s challenges easily from this point on. It’s just a matter of changing your mindset and freeing your heart from past baggage and pain.
