Crystal Based Beaches
Have you ever been to a crystal based beach?
Whitehaven Beach in Australia is on one of 74 remote Whitsunday Islands along the Great Barrier Reef. This award-winning beach was given the title “Top Eco Friendly Beach” in the world by CNN.com in 2010! What makes it so special? The beach doesn’t allow dogs and no smoking is allowed. And the best part, it contains 98% cool white silica sand! Silica is found in quartz and is the second most abundant element on Earth!
Here are some of the amazing characteristics of this beach:
1) The rocks around the island do not contain silica, so some say that the sand was brought in from sea currents over a period of millions of years.
2) The silica sand here does not retain heat! So when you walk on it barefoot, your precious feet can walk in comfort, compared to other types of sand that hurt to walk on in warm weather.
3) Because of the fine grained silica content, the sand here can damage electronic equipment like phones and cameras. So visitor beware! I know from just going to the beaches here in California, it is a nuisance to accidentally get sand on your phone and camera. So please be careful!
Beaches are amazing places where tourists love to flock to and where people love to live by. Nothing beats getting a flow of negative ions, fresh air, pranic energy and a sandy beach to relax and get grounded!ย So next time you’re considering a vacation, why not consider visiting a silica sand beach? If you’re in the U.S. and can’t make your way to Australia, check out Siesta Key, FL for their silica sand beach which is south of Sarasota!
If you do go, share your experience with us and be sure to check out more about grounding here and here, as well as tips on meditation while you’re at the beach! Have fun and until next time, much love to all you crystal rock stars!
