Crystals for Your Wizarding World of Harry Potter Visit

If you’re a fan of the world famous Harry Potter movie series, you’ve probably visited or will visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios.

I’ve been to both Wizarding Worlds (in Orlando and Hollywood) and each visit has been unforgettable!

The magical stories of Harry Potter have attracted many magic loving people and crystal rockers alike! I personally love fantasy type movies because they spark the imagination and bring a sense of wonder to our regular lives.

When I planned my recent visit to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, I immediately thought about bringing some of my favorite crystals. I pondered which crystals would assist me energetically in braving the crowds and enduring the long lines. These are some of the things empaths think about when going to public places, especially when we know there will be lots of people!

These are the crystals I brought:

  1. Nuummite – This 3 billion year old crystal is known as the Sorceror’s Stone. It has great magical protection and grounding powers. I once had a dream where a wise old lady in a cave filled with crystals told me Nuummite would be more protective for me than standard protection crystals likes black tourmaline, hematite, etc.nuummite-crystal-rock-star-harry-potter-wizarding-world-universal-studios
  2. Spectrolite and Labradorite – These colorful chatoyant crystals are from the feldspar family. They’re great for auric protection when having to deal with crowds and long lines of excited people! I carried a polished Spectrolite palm stone and wore my Labradorite ring as well.spectrolite-labradorite-crystal-rock-star-harry-potter-wizarding-world
  3. Angel Aura Danburite – This beautiful crystal is great for awakening one’s inner child and infusing positivity. It also encourages one to feel youthful, energetic and full of high vibrational happy energy.angel-aura-danburite-crystal-rock-star-harry-potter-wizarding-world-universal-studios-hollywood
  4. Star Sapphire – This crystal is great for boosting intuition when making decisions in difficult situations. Star sapphire energy is powerful because of the rutile inclusions.  It’s awesome for theme parks because they can often be confusing and overwhelming. Using a star sapphire crystal to strengthen your decision making process can help you choose which ride to visit, which lines to avoid and which souvenirs to buy. It’s easy to overspend at theme parks, so keeping focused is a good thing for you and your wallet. purple-star-sapphire-crystal-rock-star-harry-potter-wizarding-world
  5. Silver Moonstone – I like calling my fav black moonstone, “silver moonstone” because it has a hard to find inner silver chatoyant sheen! You can bring black moonstone or regular moonstone if you prefer that type! Theme parks contain lots of people and it’s good to have extra energetic protection. Black or silver moonstone helps to ground unwanted energies while keeping your spirits high. If you’re there with kids, staying grounded helps you to stay focused on everyone’s safety and enjoyment. Plus, moonstone helps put up a shield of energetic light so you can keep going well into the evening!silver-black-moonstone-crystal-rock-star-harry-potter-wizarding-world

If you feel drawn to bringing other crystals here are some other recommendations:

  • Black Tourmaline – A top favorite for energy protection and grounding.
  • Citrine – For stamina and positive energy to enjoy a theme park’s amusements and attractions.
  • Tiger’s Eye – For protection and empowerment to get through a long day.
  • Aventurine – For appreciating the moment and keeping optimistic.
  • Sunstone – For happiness and enjoying heart felt moments.

Remember to use common sense when bringing crystals to public places. I like carrying mine in the blue velvet or organza bags I offer with jewelry or crystal purchases from my shop. Carry your crystals in a secure pouch and consider bringing light weight tumbled crystals if possible. You don’t want to carry heavy things since you’ll be on the go all day. Also, leave your pricey crystals at home so you don’t get disappointed if they go missing. Wearing jewelry is a great way to keep things sweet and simple too!

Here are a few more things I wanted to share about my experience at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter:

Crystals for the Hogwarts School Houses

At the theme park shops, there’s a strong presence of the four houses of The Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin.

My souvenir haul – I purchased a Ravenclaw journal during my recent trip and added it to my Gryffindor and Slytherin journal collection. These sturdy journals are wonderful to use as dream and past life journals!

If you resonate with one of the four school houses of Hogwarts, here are some fun crystal picks to keep in mind for your visit.

Slytherin

I Found a Crystal in the Hogwarts Castle!

Although they don’t sell any crystals at the theme park, I got excited to see one beautiful gray ghost Aragonite star cluster. I spotted it while walking inside the castle before the Forbidden Journey ride. The aragonite sputnik cluster is inside an enclosed cabinet and it’s placed beautifully within an incense holder! You can find this aragonite treasure near the area that features Professor Dumbledore’s office.

(If you’re looking to replicate Dumbledore’s crystal office decor within your own office, I have large ghost gray, red-orange and white Aragonite crystals in the shop that you can check out!)

For the Wand Lovers

Another spot I checked out in the theme park is Ollivander’s Wand Shop. You can go directly into the regular retail wand shop or line up to see the wand show where Ollivander picks someone out from the audience and chooses a wand for them. They offer different character and wood themed wands in the shop. There are two styles of wands: the regular wand or an interactive “magical” wand (that you can wave around at marked map areas inside the Wizarding World to cast “magic spells”!)

Important side note! The wands are lightweight, made of resin and there is no wood used. I previously purchased a wand in Orlando (a pretty Fleur Delacour wand) that broke. So I’m not so keen on them. I’d rather have a real quartz wand or any crystal shaped wand that has more energetic power!

I hope this article has given you some ideas about what crystals to bring with you if you plan on visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. If you plan on going to any other amusement park or county fair this year, the crystal recommendations above will help there too.  Crystals can help protect you energetically when you need it most, enhance your intuition and can help boost your intentions. Remember, the power is all within you. But the crystals are allies that help boost your innate abilities!

Here are some more photos from my magical experience. Perhaps this will motivate you to plan a trip to this memorable theme park sometime soon! I highly recommend it as a fun trip for your inner child and for the kids in your family! *By the way, if you’re a hardcore Potter fan, you can get a better deal and return repeatedly if you get a seasons pass at Costco.
