I just got a heart shaped piece of black amethyst. As soon as I touched it, I could feel a sparking energy. I held it during meditation and my body started to move in a clockwise spiral. This lasted for several minutes and then a wave of energy moved from my feet to my head. The piece of black amethyst that I have was sent to me by a woman who lives in Sedona. Two of my favorite stones are amethyst and hematite so having both combined in the same stone is pretty cool.

Can black amethyst safely be added into a glass pitcher to infuse the water? I haven’t found it on a don’t list, but I’m double checking.
Hi Amanda! I would recommend the indirect method for infusing water since Black Amethyst has a higher hematite content in it. I wouldn’t want to risk any hematite iron particles from the surface of the crystal entering the water and being ingested for safe measure. Thank you for your question. Namaste!
Hello, a coworker gave me a black amythest crystal today because he felt I may need it and something in him was telling him to give it to me. I took it and put it in my pocket but not sure if ok to take a crystal like that, if I should be alarmed that he is sensing or reading something with my energy, does the crystal need to be cleansed, what to properly do with it, etc.? Thank you for Any help or guidance!
Hi K! Thank you for your question. If he has Psychometry abilities (the ability to read someone by something they touched), then I would be concerned. It seems like he didn’t have any bad intentions in sharing the crystal with you. But for safe measure, he can cleanse his crystal via sage or sound to dis-attach any one’s energy upon it. For yourself, you can cut energetic cords with blue or black Kyanite so no energetic hooks will continue to read your energies. I would also wear a Labradorite crystal to shield your aura from any unwanted energies affecting you. Hope this info helps! 🙂
I experienced black amethyst from Jacobina/Brazil as a crystal that shows the divine and spiritual aspects, symbolised by the color purple and the amethyst itself, inside the darkness. It makes us remember that all the power, creativity and potential come from the dark because the dark contains all the light and divine as well – it is duality and not contradiction.
