5 Healing Ways to Use a Crystal Sound Bowl

Are you entertaining the idea of getting your own crystal sound bowl or want some ideas on different ways you can use your crystal sound bowl for healing? You’ve come to the right spot!

Crystal sound bowls have been becoming more popular and glimpses of them can be seen in main stream media. Recently in the news, Miley Cyrus is said to be collaborating with Crystal Tones on creating a bowl to auction off for her Happy Hippie Foundation. She’s also teaming up with Facebook on Backyard Sessions where she’ll do performance sessions with artists like, Joan Jett and Ariana-Grande-Miley-Cyrus-Backyard-Session.

Kyle Jenner and Jaden Smith have also been seen at a crystal shop in West Hollywood, testing out a crystal sound bowl while shopping for crystals.

My Healing Path to an Intuitively Chosen Crystal Bowl

A few months ago, I had a strong calling to get a quartz crystal sound bowl. But I wanted one that resonated with me to use for healing, to further awaken my intuitive nature and that was most aligned to my soul note (the note your energy is most aligned with). I was on a mission to choose the right note for a bowl, instead of going with the regular chakra rule standards or popular picks. I wanted to choose intuitively.

I researched what was out there, costs, quality and soul note discovery. The information out there is pretty generic and vague, and I left it up to divine guidance to help me find the info I needed.

One day while working and listening to a Pandora radio station in the background, I noticed there were songs that created a subtle vibration in my frequency. It’s the feeling of something tugging at your heartstrings. I dismissed it and continued working.

Then a few days later, while working and listening to music again, I realized the same sensation. It’s a feeling of your soul coming into alignment with a certain note frequency, and you feel this intuitively with how your aura reacts to the notes being played in music.

I then started noting the songs that resonated with me and sent them to my Mom – who’s a music and voice teacher, as well as a choir director. She’s awesome at tuning into the key of a song which helped me reveal note patterns in my frequency. I also tested songs out with key detectors and noticed similar patterns too!

This intuitive self-discovery I feel was my higher self guiding me towards choosing the right note for the crystal sound bowl I was interested in acquiring. The bowl I intuitively chose was a rare metal infused, Ocean Indium bowl in G# with a round bottom.

Here are a few key highlights about this bowl:

  • G# relates to the Zeal Point Chakra that has an energetic exit point behind the base of the skull and connects with the third eye chakra at the front. This chakra is said to enhance your intuitive abilities and awaken hidden past life gifts when activated.
  • Indium is a trace element known for longevity, anti-aging and rejuvenation of the body. The indigo magenta violet sound waves of this bowl in conjunction with the Indium element help with third eye pineal activation, alignment and masculine/feminine balance. Scientific tests have shown that Indium has improved hormone imbalance, reduction in cancers, improved eye sight, enhanced chi and mineral absorption.
  • Tuning into sacred geometry properties, the round bottom of the crystal sound bowl I chose has a dome shape that provides better sound quality than flat bottom bowl’s I’ve tested. The sound plays much longer and reverberates back and forth through both ears, helping to balance both the masculine and feminine sides of the body. Watch me play this video here.

Here are 5 Ways I’ve Incorporated my Crystal Sound Bowl into My Everyday Healing Practices:

  1. Cleansing of crystals and my energy space quickly and efficiently.

Quartz crystal sound bowls are awesome because you don’t have to constantly buy sage/cedar, make sage spray, make the room smoky or make your clothes smell like smoke! Just play the bowl a few times to increase the amplitude of sound in the room and voila!

  2. Opening the zeal chakra point for chakra healing work.

The zeal chakra point is also called the Mouth of God, the Well of Dreams, the Alta Major point or Feng Fu. There’s not too much info about other people’s zeal chakra experiences out there, but here’s some info I’ve found so far:

    – Activate this area to enhance clairvoyance, astral travel, dream recall, healing abilities and telepathy. To use this point effectively though, other chakras need to be worked on and balanced (including the Soul Star Chakra, Transpersonal Chakra and anchoring the Earth Star chakra for grounding).

    – Placing an ice cube on this point or activating it with your sound bowl brings a euphoric endorphin release, rejuvenation and increases energy.

    – Be sure to ground and set an intent of protection when working with this chakra, as it could be an invitation for unwanted energies to intercept during the activation opening.

When I first started working with the G# Ocean Indium bowl, the next day I had a reading from a very intuitive lady who could see auras and energy flow. I didn’t mention to her my new bowl, but she kept emphasizing she saw energy flowing from behind my neck. After doing zeal point chakra work, seal and protect that area by waving a kyanite wand, then selenite wand over the area.

Since working with this bowl every day, my dreams and dream recall have been amazing and sometimes I will feel energy pulses from the back of the head and stronger third eye pulsations.

  3. Charging of food, water and elixirs.

I love charging and cleansing my food, water, morning gem elixir smoothies and gem meditation elixir oils with the rejuvenation frequencies of my crystal sound bowl. I strike the bowl and rotate the mallet a few times, then hover my cup or elixir over the bowl. Alternatively, you can place you cups and bottles near the bowl as well.

  4. Charging my crystals and jewelry.

Although the frequency sounds of a crystal sound bowl help with restabilizing a crystal’s dominant oscillary rate, I also feel that crystal or metal infused bowls, also add a frequency boost to items that come in contact with the sound waves. Because of the Ocean Indium’s rejuvenating properties, I like to infuse these added frequencies into my meditation crystals and jewelry to add a boosting effect to my personal energy field.

  5. Bodywork sound healing.

If you’ve ever been to a sound bath, you’ll understand the healing nature that sound bowls can bring. I enjoy the convenience of a smaller round bottomed bowl or crystal bowl with a handle because you can infuse the vibrational frequencies into your receptive hand and through your body by holding it while playing the bowl. I also like to play the sound bowl over a bath of water infused with essential oils, quartz based crystals (like amethyst, rose quartz and aventurine) and gem elixir oils.

From the studies of Dr. Emoto mentioned in this previous article, playing a sound bowl over your bath before you get in helps to activate the water energies to provide a healing boost during your bath. The overall experience of a literal “sound bath” is amazing! You can even have someone play the bowl for you while you are submersed in the bath water.

So, do you own a crystal sound bowl or two? Pop on over to the Crystal Rock Star Facebook page and share a photo of your bowl with your experiences!

For those of you that have alchemy infused bowls, what have you experienced by working with them? If you haven’t tried a crystal sound bath yet, check out my suggestion and read about my personal experience here.

Lastly, if you’re looking for a place to get your first crystal bowl, I recommend the amazing quality and selection from Crystal Tones. Based on my own personal experience and from expert feedback in the crystal healing world, don’t settle for cheaper quality knock off bowls that you might find online.

Until next time, much love and keep shining!
